The MEGA EAR parabolic microphone, designed and assembled at the Endoacustica Europe laboratories, involves a highly reflective parabolic dish, an omnidirectional microphone, a preamplifier and a headphones for real time listening, in addition you can connect to it a voice recorder to record intercepted conversations.

Sound waves picked up by the parabolic microphone properly oriented, hit your dish and are conveyed into the rear center where the audio is concentrated and directed into the omnidirectional microphone. In this way, the audio signals received, are amplified compared with the result that you would have with a normal directional microphone. This element not only amplifies sounds, but “select” signals, deleting unwanted noises, coming from other directions. So the parabolic dish isolates the sound carried by perpendicular waves to the direction getting professional results.

The dish is made of polyethylene: a transparent material, waterproof, UV resistant and very durable. It’s an instrument built to last and to be used always at its fullest capability. The reflective surface it’s completely smooth with a focal length of 4’’, ideal for wide range interceptions.

The microphone is an active condenser that utilize a 9V battery (included), able to ensure weeks of operation. The microphone is designed to be utilized with several device of recording or audio amplification that accept input by an ordinary microphone.

For example it can be used along with the Digicell as well as other micro recorders or laptop.

The microphone is fixed to an handle with rubber shock absorbers, comfortable and stable, that allow easy and comfortable operations in every kind of environment. It also avoid vibrations induced by the movement of the microphone itself during the operations. This product offer several option for the set-up, moreover it’s possible to equip the microphone with a tripod for a stable monitoring.

The sound received by the parabolic microphone result very clear thanks to the high quality sound amplification and to the precise aim of the instrument. From the tests conducted by our experts it’s even possible to hear the sound of fingers rubbing from 50 meters away.

This demonstrates that the parabolic microphone find wide application in the field of surveillance, law enforcement, personal security, research, hunting, open air observation, outdoor adventures, interceptions, suspicious individual monitoring, animal observations and much more.
